Sie naht alsbald, sie sieht den Hans.
Doch bevor sie schreien kann, packe ich sie mit fester Hand und halte ihren Atem an.
Als der Morgen graut findet man sie, drei Leichen nah dem Friedhofsacker.
Den Sohn vom Schmied hat man erschlagen und vor der Eiche aufgebahrt.
Auch dort oben hängen zweie, Hand in Hand an einem Strick.

Sie brach sein Herz, er ihr Genick.
