Den ganzen langen Tag war Nebel, denn der Herbst fing gerade an.
Freie Sich kaum 50 Meter, ich kam einfach nicht voran.

Mitten in dem Lichterkegel, der in den Nebel Löcher frisst,
stand ein blondes junges Mädchen,
dort wo die Welt zu Ende ist

Druckluft blockiert fast meine Räder, mit einem Krampf im rechten Bein
gleich berührt sie meinen Kühler, ein Bremsweg, der kann endlos sein.
Da half kein beten und kein fluchen, endlich blieb der Wagen stehn
Sie öffnete die Seitentür und ich wollt an die Decke geh'n
"Lass mich dich ein Stück begleiten" stieß sie atemlos heraus,
frech gefragt ist halb gewonnen, und schon saß sie im Fahrerhaus.

kräftig dröhnten die Zylinder, im kleinen Gang, mehr ging da nicht.
Laufen wäre heute schneller, immer schlechter war die Sicht.

Und hatte sie mal Sendepause, griff sie nach dem Funkgerät.

Dann drehte sie an allen Knöpfen, machte damit richtig Krach,
das hatte auch sein gutes, denn ich blieb dabei hellwach
Dann auf einmal, ohne Warnung, öffnete sie die Seitentür,
jetzt sofort musst du hier halten, ich muss mal raus, ganz schnell und hier

Langsam wurde ich jetzt sauer. Verdammt, hat das nicht etwas Zeit?
Wir haben es doch gleich geschafft. Ich kann nicht halten, tut mir leid.
Doch sie, sie wollte garnicht hören. Durch ihre Tür Pfiff schon der Wind,
So stieg ich halt aufs Bremspedal und hab verflucht das Unglückskind.
Und dann sah ich vor mir die Schienen und auch die Lichter konn't ich sehn
Ein InterCity rast vorrüber, obwohl die Schranken offen stehn.

Der kalte Schweiß rann mir herunter, der Luftzug traf mich wie ein Schlag.
Fast hätt#s ein Feuerwerk gegeben an diesem grauen Nebeltag.
Zwischen wirklichkeit und Träumen, im Kreisverkehr der Phantasie,
Minuten schluckten die Sekunden, und meine Augen suchten sie.
Ja irgendwann fuhr ich dann weiter, ihr leerer Sitz zum greifen nah,
ich stellete ihr so viele Fragen, denn irgendwie war sie noch da.
